What's the best way to start learning dance?

The best way to get started is with a free private lesson! Your instructor will talk to you about your dance goals and learning style, and you'll get a chance to try out our studio. Do I need a partner?

Going dancing is a great way to meet new people! If you come with a partner-- that's great! If you come solo-- that's great too! We encourage everyone to ask new people to dance every night, and we recommend everyone to rotate partners in the lessons.

What is the age range?

We love our venue and location in part because of the fact that we are regularly drawing a crowd from 16 to 80. Although we primarially teach teens and adults, we also offer youth classes ages 8 and up. We get many people of all ages every week!

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Wear what is comfortable for you! Some people dress up, some people dress to work out, and other people wear jeans and a T-shirt. We especially recommend comfortable shoes or dance shoes- no flip-flops or stilettos unless you're really comfortable moving in them!

How much do lessons cost?

At Slow Fox we personalize your program based on your goals and budget. You can always drop in for a group class for $20, or swing by for a social for $12, but we always recommend you start with a free private lesson so we can better get to know you!
