At Slow Fox Dance Hall, we’re thrilled to have you as part of our community! Our membership is designed to support your dance journey in every possible way, from classes to special perks. We know you may have questions about how our membership works, so we’ve compiled this FAQ to help. 1. What if I don’t plan on taking private lessons?


That’s totally fine! Our membership offers incredible value even without private lessons. It pays for itself with just five group classes per month and also provides additional perks like discounts and preferred pricing on events and merchandise. Whether you’re focused on group classes, events, or just being part of a welcoming dance community, membership ensures you maximize your experience.


2. Why do I always need to have one lesson paid ahead?


This policy helps protect our instructors’ time and schedules. It ensures that when they’re planning a lesson for you, your commitment is already confirmed. Our instructors invest effort in preparation, and we want to honor their dedication by guaranteeing that their time is respected.


3. Why do you need 24-hour notice for cancellations?


Providing at least 24-hour notice for cancellations gives instructors a better chance to fill empty slots and maintain a consistent teaching schedule. Because their compensation depends directly on their lessons, it’s important to safeguard their ability to plan effectively. While we understand that life can be unpredictable, sticking to the 24-hour policy allows us to balance fairness for both our students and instructors. We genuinely try to be compassionate and flexible in special circumstances—just reach out, and we’ll do our best to work with you.


4. Why does my credit card need to be charged automatically?


Automatic payments streamline the administrative process and save valuable time, allowing our team to focus on what we love—providing great service and dance instruction! It also gives our instructors the stability to plan long-term with their students, ensuring a consistent dance experience for everyone. Membership is intended as a financing plan for those committed to dancing long-term. If you have a shorter-term goal, like preparing for a special event, we also offer alternative packages to fit those needs. Just reach out to our team, and we’ll find the right option for you!


5. Can I pause my membership if I need to take a break?


Yes! Our membership allows for pauses of up to 3 months out of the year for any reason, whether it’s travel, health, or simply taking a break. Just let us know at least 5 days before your next charge (first of the month), and we’ll ensure a smooth transition when you’re ready to return. Please reach out to our team to discuss the process and make arrangements.
