Spooky Spotlight 2025

On November 7th, Slow Fox Dance Hall once again morphed into a chillingly enchanting ballroom for our annual Spooky Spotlight—an evening where dance, drama, and imagination take center stage. From otherworldly costumes to performances that gave us goosebumps (the good kind!), our community delivered a night overflowing with creativity, commitment, and pure Halloween magic.

Spooky Spotlight is our chance to celebrate the artistry and hard work of our students through both spotlights (improvisational showcases) and fully choreographed solos. Each piece crackled with energy and personality, transforming the ballroom into a world where pirates tangoed, fairies hustled, and ghostly brides returned for one last dance.

Here are just some of the standout performances that lit up the night:

A Fairy-Themed Hustle

Light, sparkly, and full of pixie charm, this hustle soared with whimsical energy and left the crowd smiling from ear to ear.

Corpse Bride Revival Bachata

Hauntingly beautiful and emotionally rich, this Bachata tribute to The Corpse Bride delivered theatrical storytelling and mesmerizing connection.

Elegant Waltz

Graceful, sweeping, and regal—their waltz floated across the floor like a drifting silk ribbon, enchanting everyone who watched.

A Story-Driven Bolero

Powerful, expressive, and filled with gripping emotion, this Bolero told a story that held the room in absolute silence. A breathtaking performance.

Knives Out–Inspired Cha Cha / Rumba Medley

Stylish, edgy, and delightfully bloody, this dramatic medley blended two dances into one thrilling murder-mystery experience.

Fast-Paced, Electrifying Cha Cha

Sharp, fiery footwork and dynamic flair––this Cha Cha was pure adrenaline and had the audience cheering nonstop.

Black & Red Waltz Elegance

Sophisticated and beautifully executed, their waltz shimmered with charm as they glided across the floor in striking black-and-red formal wear.

Spunky Cha Cha

Full of personality, sass, and fun—this cha cha lit up the room with infectious energy.

A Deeply Emotional Argentine Tango

Closing the night with a piece that left the entire ballroom silent and tearing up, Kelly and Justin delivered a raw, soulful tango that will be remembered for years.

Every costume, every step, and every story shared on the floor was a testament to the passion of our dancers and the strength of the Slow Fox community. Spooky Spotlight continues to be one of our favorite events of the year because of YOU—your bravery, your creativity, and your commitment to bringing magic to the dance floor.
